Blistered Shishito Peppers with Sriracha Aoili

Nine out of every ten shishito peppers is mild in flavor with citrus undertones. One might make your eyes water, but that's part of the fun! With a slight char on their thin skin, they're irresistible.

The citrus, char, and saltiness from this quick and tasty snack will make you wonder why you shouldn't just throw in one more batch! The fruity heat from the sriracha dipping sauce is the perfect accompaniment.

Ingredients:
8 oz shishito peppers
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
salt
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp sriracha
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning
Directions:
1.
Heat sesame oil in a 9" cast iron skillet with the eye on medium heat.

Place peppers evenly onto the bottom of the pan and let them cook. Stir every couple of minutes until tender and charred in spots. This will take around 10 minutes. (The popping sound is a good sign).
3.
Transfer the peppers to a serving plate. Squirt with lemon juice. Sprinkle with salt and Everything but the Bagel Sesame seasoning.
4.
To make the sauce, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
